YouTube is full of stories. Google is full of answers. Wouldn't it be great if you could combine them? Well, now you can. Create your own 30 second video using Google searches and YouTube with no editing skills needed.
Here's one I made in ten minutes which details the story of how I proposed:
Termed 'Search Stories', this new feature is a great way of linking together Google's products and showcasing the power of both Google and YouTube. It's quite remarkable how quick and professional the video appears and is a testament to Google's way of simplifying web tasks.
Three easy steps to making a 'Search Story':
- To tell a story, users just type in up to 7 searches, based on Google search areas including maps, products, images, etc.
- Then you can choose your preferred music from the supplied songs.
- The last stage is to preview the video and approve it. Then hey presto, your video is made, ready to share with the world.
It may be a gimmick but this is a great way of advertising your wares to a wider audience or simply sending a special message to someone you love. Who knows, you might even get featured by YouTube and your video becomes an overnight success!
